PhD-Residency Track

The Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and the Program in Biomedical Sciences (PIBS) Graduate Program at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is pleased to announce a new residency track for MD candidates who would like to pursue PhD in addition to residency in Dermatology. It is envisioned as a 4+1+3 year position (PhD training + internship + dermatology residency), for qualified MD applicants, will provide the opportunity to combine the required training in Dermatology with earning of PhD degree in PIBS program of the University of Miami. Applications are due December 1, 2017 and should consist of CV, Transcripts, Letter of Recommendations (up to 3), GRE and TOEFL (where applicable) and short (one page) summary personal statement of research and career goals. Interviews will be conducted soon thereafter and a decision will be made by March 2018. All applications and questions should be directed to Yuli Simon at yulisimon@med.miami.edu.

Residency-Research Track

The Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is now accepting applications for residency research track for MD/PhDs. This track will allow for either a 4 or 5 year training for qualified MD/PhD applicants, that will combine the required training in Dermatology with additional research time over a 48 or 60 month period. Applications have been extended to December 10, 2017 and should consist of completed eRAS application. In addition, a cover letter providing eRAS number and additional Letters of Recommendation (up to 3) relevant to research activities should be emailed to Ms. Yuli Simon (yulisimon@med.miami.edu) no later than December 10, 2017.
