Dermatology Lab Dedicated to Pioneering Researcher and Educator

To honor the remarkable 43 years the late Sung Lan Hsia, Ph.D., devoted to the Department of Dermatology and Cuteaneous Surgery, his admirers gathered with his family on July 14 to dedicate in his memory the same lab where he helped discover the cancer-inhibiting potential of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) and the significant role HDL cholesterol plays in protecting the cardiovascular system.

UM TeleHealth Provides Remote Dermatology to Cruise Ships

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. is contracting with TeleHealth at UHealth-University of Miami Health System for teledermatology services for employees based on cruise ships at sea. Physicians on board Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises will transmit dermatology images and information from ships across the cruise line’s fleet to dermatologists at the Miller School.
