Sun Smart Sprint 5K for Melanoma Awareness

10th Annual SunSmart Sprint 5K Run/Walk for Melanoma Awareness

March 10, 2019 ● 7:30 a.m. ● Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park ● Key Biscayne

Join us for a fun 5K run/walk (3.1 miles) along Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park. After the race, relax and enjoy a complimentary healthy breakfast, free skin cancer screenings, entertainment, a kids fun run with Sebastian the Ibis, and awards.

University of Miami Miller School of Medicine students are hosting the SunSmart 5K to celebrate heart & skin health! Proceeds from the race will go to support two different causes; one is melanoma skin cancer research at the University of Miami at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and the other is a program called Team for Life that helps get life-saving heart devices out into Miami. University of Miami dermatologists will be at the race to give Free Post-Race Skin Cancer Screenings within private booths. Running is known to be good for your health and your heart. Bring your family and friends, race for great causes, and start the day having improved your own heart and skin health!

Before Race – Adults $30
Child (18 and under) $25
